Introduction

This page explains the contents of a lavalier mic kit, available to borrow from the Tech Commons in the Library.


Purpose

Our Wireless Lavalier Mic Kit provides everything necessary to set up and use a wireless, wearable microphone that can be hooked up to any venue's sound system, or combined with one of our PA System kits.

How to Set It Up

1Unpackage the receiver box, and attach the provided antennas to the “ANT I” and “ANT II” ports on the back of the receiver.

2Plug the provided power adapter into the back of the receiver and into a power outlet.

3Put new batteries in the body pack transmitter if necessary.

4Turn it on by opening the front battery compartment and holding down the small “ON/OFF” button on the front left.

Make sure the frequency readouts on the receiver and transmitter are the same.

6Unbox the lavalier microphone.

7Clip the mic to your person, and attach it to the transmitter.

8Attach the transmitter to your person.

9Run an XLR cable from the output of the receiver to the sound system you are using.

Change the Transmitter Frequency

1Open the battery compartment, and click SET on the front.

Scroll through the menu options using the up and down arrows on the front of the pack until you reach “Advanced”.

Press the SET button to select it.
3Scroll through until you reach “Tune”. Select it.

4Change it to the desired frequency using the arrow and SET buttons.

Change the Receiver Frequency

1Press the knob on the receiver to open the menu.
