Introduction

In the event of a campus emergency, Biola students and employees receive receive notifications to their university email address and/or mobile phone number from Biola's emergency notification system. Biola students and employees are automatically enrolled in emergency notifications.

Every Biola employee and enrolled student is automatically signed up for emergency notifications to their Biola email. You cannot unsubscribe from email notifications.

titleAbout Cell Pones
You are not required to enter your cell phone number. But you must enter a cell phone number to receive emergency notifications via SMS text message.

You will only receive emergency notifications via SMS text messages if you have a phone number associated with your personal information in My Account.

1Log in to My Account.
2Sign in with your NetID (if not already signed in). 
3Confirm you are on the Personal Information tab.

In the Phones section click New Phone.

titleUpdate My Phone Number
To change change your phone number, click Edit.

Select Phone Type.

Warning
titleImportant!

Any phone type can be used for emergency notifications but only cell phones can receive text notifications.

Fill out the country code, and phone number sections.


6Select this is my primary phone number, unless you have a different phone number listed as primary.

Click Create Phone.

titleUpdate My Phone Number
This will say Update Phone if you are changing an existing phone number entry.
