I chose my user name "warmprickly" because of a memorable childhood routine. When I was a kid, my dad would tuck me in at night and ask me this question: "Which would you rather have, Karen? A warm prickly or cold fuzzy?" I'd wrinkle my nose and say, "Neither, Daddy." At the time I didn't understand why he asked such a ludicrous question - but now I understand he was preparing me for the tough choices of life.
