Biola IT provides Microsoft Office 365 for students, staff, and faculty to install managed computers come with Microsoft Office pre-installed.

Students and full-time staff and faculty can install MS Office on their personal computers . For so long as they are currently attending or employed at Biola.     Alumni:

    • Alumni are not licensed by Microsoft to use Office with their Biola account. When students graduate or leave Biola, their MS Office applications will no longer be licensed.

    Requirements for This Service

    A 64-bit Windows computer:

    • Processor: 1.6 GHz or faster, 2-core
    • Memory: 4 GB; 2 GB (32-bit)
    • Hard Drive: 4 GB of available disk space
    • Video Card: Graphics hardware acceleration requires DirectX 9 or later, with WDDM 2.0 or higher for Windows 10 (or WDDM 1.3 or higher for Windows 10 Fall Creators Update).
    • 1024×768 or higher screen resolution recommended​

    A macOS computer:

    • Processor: Intel processor
    • Memory: 4 GB
    • Hard Drive: 10 GB of available disk space; HFS+ hard disk format (also known as macOS Extended) or APFS
    • Video Card: No graphics requirements.
