This page explains the steps for securely sending and releasing print jobs using a department account.

This applies when printing to a Konica Minolta Bizhub.

About Secure Release

"Secure release" means users are required to enter a username and password or swipe their ID card at the copier before the print job will be released from the print queue to the printer. For printing without authentication, see Employee Direct Printing.

Secure print jobs are held in the print queue for 12 hours and then automatically deleted.

Benefits of Secure Release

  • You can delete accidental print jobs from the print queue before they are released, saving toner, paper, and money.
  • You can send multiple print jobs, then release them all at once, without having to worry about someone else's prints showing up in your stack.
  • You can send confidential documents to the print queue, with the assurance that they are safely stored until you release them.
