This will upgrade your computer's operating system and will automatically reboot your computer. It will take 30-45 minutes to complete, during which time you will be unable to use the computer.

Close any open applications and save all your work.

Connect your laptop to power and an Ethernet network connection.

Find the "Install macOS" application and click "Install"

You will see either High Sierra or Mojave depending on which is compatible with your computer.

The installer will check if your computer already has the necessary files. If not, it will download them. This can take 5-10 minutes to download.

Do not disconnect from power or Ethernet during this time.

Once it checks for the necessary files, the installation will begin and take several minutes to prepare your computer.

Your computer will reboot to complete the installation.

After reboot, it will take 30-45 minutes to complete.

Once complete, you will return to the computer's login screen.
