Introduction
In the event of a campus emergency, Biola students and employees receive receive notifications to their university email address and/or mobile phone number from Biola's emergency notification system. Biola students and employees are automatically enrolled in emergency notifications.
About Email Notifications
Every Biola employee and enrolled student is automatically signed up for emergency notifications to their Biola email. You cannot unsubscribe from email notifications.
About Cell Pones
You are not required to enter your cell phone number. But you must enter a cell phone number to receive emergency notifications via SMS text message.
How to receive emergency notifications on your cell phone
You will only receive emergency notifications via SMS text messages if you have a phone number associated with your personal information in My Account.

1 | Log in to My Account. | |
2 | Sign in with your NetID (if not already signed in). | |
3 | Confirm you are on the Personal Information tab. | |
3 | In the Phones section click New Phone. Update My Phone Number To change change your phone number, click Edit. | |
4 | Select Cell Phone for Phone Type. Important! Only cell phones can receive emergency text notifications. | |
5 | Fill out the country code, and phone number sections. | |
6 | Select this is my primary phone number, unless you have a different phone number listed as primary. | |
7 | Click Create Phone. Update My Phone Number This will say Update Phone if you are changing an existing phone number entry. |
