Use the Biola University Phone System Self Service Portal to change your phone PIN.
Your phone PIN is used for both phone and voicemail services.
(Note: Use these instructions if you have previously set a PIN for your voice mailbox. Click here If your voicemail PIN and greetings need to be set-up for the first time.)
Change Phone PIN
- Login to myphone.biola.edu using your NetID and password.
- Click the Change PIN button on the Dashboard or from the left menu.
- Type in your new PIN.
- Confirm your new PIN, and click Update.
Cisco Guidelines: Check for Trivial Passwords
- The password must be six digits long.
- The digits are not all the same (for example, 9999).
- The digits are not consecutive (for example, 1234 or 4321).
- The password or PIN is not the same as the primary extension that is assigned to the user.
- The password must not spell their first or last name, their organization or company name, or any other obvious words.
- The password must not contain their primary extension.
- The password cannot be the reverse of their primary extension or contain the reverse of their primary extension.
- The password cannot use the same digits more than twice in a row (for example, 900012).
- The password cannot be 1-digit increment of a previous password or PIN (for example, 20185 to 20186).
- The password cannot contain fewer than three different digits (for example, 18181).
- The password cannot be a previously used password.
