How to Install Missing Biola Printers



Introduction


This page describes how to confirm what printers are installed on a Mac or Windows computer and then shows how to install any needed printers that are missing.



Process Description


Mac:

StepsWhat to do
Confirm if printers are installed
  1. Click the magnifying glass on the top right of the computer screen.
  2. Type Printers & Scanners and press the return key on the keyboard.
  3. Confirm all needed printers are installed.
Install any needed printers
  1. Click on the magnifying glass on the right of the computer screen.
  2. Type Self Service and press the return key on the keyboard.
  3. Log in to the Self Service application with your Biola Email Address and password.
  4. Click the Department Printers tab on the left side of the Self Service window, locate the desired printer and click the Install button.

Windows:

Confirm if printers are installed
  1. Click the magnifying glass on the bottom left of the computer screen.
  2. Type Print Management and press the enter key on the keyboard.
  3. Click on the All Printers option on the left side of the new window.
  4. Confirm all needed printers are installed.
Install any needed printers
  1. Open a browser window and go to pharos.ad.biola.edu/uniprint/Packages.asp
  2. Locate and click on the name of your department.
  3. Save the printer installer file to your computer's desktop.
  4. Locate the printer installer file on your computer's desktop and double-click on it.
  5. Click the Yes button on the pop-up window.
  6. Click the Install button on the Pharos installer window.
  7. Click the Finish button once the install has completed.
