Introduction

The IT Helpdesk uses Google Chrome Remote Desktop to facilitate computer screen sharing between clients and an IT Helpdesk technician. Remote screen sharing is particularly helpful for troubleshooting issues with software or computer configurations.

Two Ways to Get Remote Help from IT

There are two ways to get IT remote support via Zoom:

  • Immediate Assistance: Call Biola IT Technical Support and ask to set up a Google Meet support session. Please note that during peak support times, like the beginning of a semester, this option may be limited. Consider a remote support appointment instead.
  • Virtual Appointment (a.k.a. Remote Support): To sign up for a remote support appointment, please see our Information Technology Appointments page, select the Virtual Support appointment, and select a day/time. You will receive an email inviting you to the remote support session, along with a Zoom meeting link. When it's time for the appointment, click on the Zoom link in the email.
