Centennial
Biola celebrated its one hundredth birthday in February, 2008. The celebration lasted for over a year, with projects and events celebrating the event taking place throughout the year.
Centennial Projects
Various projects took place during the celebration:
- Biola designed and introduced a special seal for the year (see the inset image).
- The Heritage Room was converted to a museum-like exhibit.
- A coffee table book about the school's history, Rooted for One Hundred Years, was printed in honor of the Centennial.
- Large banners with historical photos were placed around campus, along with information boards that gave histories of the various residence and academic halls.
- The Centennial Oral History Project, undertaken for the Anniversary, has proved to be a valuable resource for the contributors to this Wiki.
