Dr. Douglas has specialized on the Asia region throughout his career. He has resided in the Philippines and Hong Kong and continues to work extensively with the Ministry of Education and various schools in China. He also serves on the boards of Professional and Educational Services International, Health Development International and the Pacific Century Corporation. He teaches exclusively at the graduate level at present. Seminars he offers include studies in education theory, research and practice. He also contributes to the graduate programs in missiology through offerings in history, political science and field-based regional studies. He is a member of the Association for Asian Studies and the Comparative and International Education Society.
