The WORD
"The WORD" is a large mural of Christ on the wall of Bardwell Hall in the center of Biola's La Mirada Campus. It is by artist Kent Twitchell, and it is commonly referred to as "The Jesus Mural."
Description
The mural is 27 feet tall.
The Artist
Twitchell's works, especially religious and Angelino.
Twitchell painted this mural with Biola art students for class, and you can read the first-person artist account(s) at: The Jesus Painting.
History
1990, collaborative with Biolans
Jay Gam, a Russian Jewish artist, was the model.
