Digital Signage Terms and Symbols


Introduction

This page explains the terms and symbols used within the Digital Signage application.

 


Terms and Symbols

All Slides

All of the slides that have been created by different departments, including your own.

Background Color

The color that appears behind the text of an editable slide. The default color is black, but you can choose a different color.

Click on the words "Background Color" and a color palette will show below the words.  Choose which color you want to display by moving your mouse arrow around the pallet.  

DepartmentThe Biola department that created the slide.
Expired Slide

A slide that has reached its unpublish date. When the slide expires, it no longer displays on the digital sign, and shows the icon.  If you wish to use the slide again in the future, you can go back in and change the start and end dates.

Fork ItCreates a duplicate of the slide. The duplicate will appear under the same department as the original slide.
IntervalHow long the slide will be displayed on the digital sign whenever it appears.  The default interval is 10 seconds.
My SlidesThe slides you created or added to your digital sign.
Publish AtThe start date when the slide will be published.
ScheduleBy clicking Add, you can specify a time slot, such as 12 p.m. - 5 p.m. The slide will only appear during that time slot. If you don't add any schedules, it will always display on the sign.
Slots

Indicates which signs are using that slide. You can post the slide to additional signs by clicking Add.

TitleThe name of the slide.
Unpublish AtThe end date when the slide will expire.
Unpublished Slide

A slide that had not yet been published. You can create slides in advance and set a specific date to be published.  The slide shows the icon.
