Dear Faculty,
From Jan 12th to 19th, IT is offering Zoom Room demonstrations and self-led sessions for both discussion and lecture-based rooms. We’re excited to share a number of exciting updates that will make Zoom Rooms more stable and easier to use.
Appointment Types
- Self-led: An hour of self-led time in an Owl discussion room or a lecture-style room. This option provides academic departments with an opportunity to come together and roleplay remote or hyflex instruction together.
- IT attended: During this time IT will attend sessions and provide an explanation of how Zoom Rooms function, as well as demo new features.
Booking an appointment time
Using the appointment calendar, indicate the room configuration and type of appointment you are making --- whether self-led or IT attended.
Remote Participation
If you would like to remotely join any of these sessions, email it.helpdesk@biola.edu and let us know when you’d like to join. We will provide you with a Zoom link. You won't need to reserve a specific time on the appointment calendar if you are joining remotely. Attending remotely can provide you with a student’s perspective on how these rooms function.
Guidelines for Campus Visits
During your campus visit, you must follow these guidelines:
- Wear a face covering.
- Maintain at least 6ft physical distancing.
- If you are sick or have been exposed to COVID, do not come to campus.
