Introduction
Welcome to Biola!
This page explains the computer IT onboarding process for new employees.
On
your first dayYou will receive a computer through the IT department.
After clarifying the new process with the Operations team, insert information on how new hires access their Biola computers. Through HR? Through Helpdesk?
You will receive a computer through your department.
Please speak with your supervisor or your department about your computer needs.
Your First Day
- Set up your Biola NetID account password:
- Go to the account setup page and put in the personal email address you provided to HR.
- Once your password is set, you will be logged in to myaccount.biola.edu. Find your email address in My Account by clicking on the Personal Information tab and going to the Emails section.
- Set up your Biola Google Account for email:
- Go to gmail.com and log in to your Biola email. User name is your email address and your NetID password.
- Set up your 2 Step verification for your Biola email.
- Log in to your Biola Microsoft account:
- Go to Microsoft’s sign in page and sign in with your Biola email address and NetID password.
- Set up Multi-Factor-Authentication.
- If a phone extension has been assigned to you, set up your phone.
- Set up a voicemail greeting & password.
- Set up Cisco Jabber.
- Set up your alternate number on the Biola directory.
If you are a full-time employee:
- Once IT notifies your supervisor that your computer is ready, pick up and log in to the computer at the IT Tech Commons in the Library.
If you are a part-time employee:
- Log in to department computer?
