New Employee IT Onboarding

This page explains the IT onboarding process for new employees.

On Your First Day

• Set up your Biola NetID

  • Go to the account setup page and put in the personal email address you provided to HR.
    • Once your password is set, you will be logged in to myaccount.biola.edu.
    • Find your Biola email address in My Account by clicking on the Personal Information tab and going to the Emails section.

• Set up your Biola Google Email Account

  • Go to gmail.com and log in to your Biola email. User name is your Biola email address and your NetID password.
    • Set up your 2 Step verification for your Biola email.

• Log in to your Biola Microsoft account

  • Go to Microsoft’s sign in page and sign in with your Biola email address and NetID password.
    • Set up Multi-Factor-Authentication.

• Set up your phone

  • If a phone extension has been assigned to you:
    • Set up a voicemail greeting & password.
    • Set up Cisco Jabber.
    • Add an alternate extension on the Biola directory.

• Pick up your computer

  • Once IT notifies your supervisor that your computer is ready, pick up and log in to the computer at the IT Tech Commons in the Library.
