How to Export your Confluence Space

Use these instructions to back up or access content for your Confluence space outside of the Confluence platform, such as to view the content offline or to migrate to another system.

Step-by-step guide

To export a Confluence space:

  1. Log in to Confluence and go to the space you want to export.
  2. Click "Space tools" in the bottom left, then click "Content Tools".
  3. Click "Export".
  4. Choose the export format: HTML, XML, or PDF. HTML makes web pages. XML can be re-imported into Confluence. PDF makes one document.
  5. Click "Next" and follow the instructions to finish exporting.
