This page explains how to use the scanners provided in the Library Mac Lab.


 

Use Scanners in the Library Mac Lab

 

StepConfiguration Item

What to do 

 
1Open Image CaptureOpen Image Capture from Macintosh HD/Applications/.
 
2Choose Settings

3Scan ImageClick "Scan." 
    1.  

 

1. Select "Show Details" at the bottom right of the window.

 

2. Select a desired "Scan to" location.

3. Name the file.

4. Fill out all desired scan preferences.


 

Troubleshooting

 

If Image Capture is open and the scanner is not recognized

  • In order to scan images, “CanoScan LiDE 700F” must be a recognized device in the Image Capture program.
  • If “CanoScan LiDE 700F” is not a recognized device, Image Capture must be closed and then opened manually by finding the application and double-clicking on it.
