Introduction
Two Ways to Get Remote Help from IT
There are two ways to get IT remote support:
- Immediate Assistance: Call the IT Helpdesk at 562-587-8290 and ask to set up a Zoom support session. Please note that during peak support times, like the beginning of a semester, this option may be limited. Consider a remote support appointment instead.
- Remote Support Appointment: To sign up for a remote support appointment, please see our Tech Support Appointment Calendar, select the Remote Technical Assistance Calendar, and select a day/time. You will receive an email inviting you to the remote support session, along with a Zoom meeting link. If you're unable to open Zoom, please note it in your appointment and give us a contact phone number. We will call you at your scheduled appointment time and connect to your computer using Chrome Remote Desktop.
For your safety, only follow steps 6-8 while in direct communication with a Biola IT Helpdesk technician.

2 | Click the blue circle download button and save the installer to your desktop. |
3 | Run the installer by clicking Accept & Install in your browser. |
4 | Click Yes in the Open Download browser pop-up window. |
5 | Follow the on-screen instructions to install Chrome Remote Desktop. |
6 | In your browser, click + Generate Code. |
7 | Give the code to the IT Helpdesk Tech. |
8 | Click Share on the pop-up window asking if you would like to allow the technician to see and control your computer. |
