J. R. Pratt was described as "our evangelist" in the January 1910 issue of The King's Business. He had traveled in Oregon and northern California for three months. "At Enterprise, Ore., the whole town was reached. The business places were closed in the afternoon for the Bible study. The churches were thoroughly united and the Christians stimulated to a devoted life. Many confessed Christ, both young and old."The King's Business, Vol. 1.1, January 1910, pg 4, http://www2.biola.edu/kingsbusiness/view/1/1/5
In April 1910, he did work in Santa Ana. "The meetings commenced in the Baptist Church and were carried to the large auditorium of the Presbyterian Church. Large crowds attended the Bible readings in the afternoon. The saints were stirred and many sinners found the Son of God as Saviour and Lord."
