Introduction

The IT Helpdesk uses Zoom to allow an IT Helpdesk technician to access your computer remotely. Remote screen sharing is particularly helpful for troubleshooting issues with software or minor computer glitches.

Two Ways to Get Remote Help from IT

There are two ways to get IT remote support via Zoom:

  • Immediate Assistance: Call the IT Helpdesk at 562-587-8290 and ask to set up a Zoom support session. Please note that during peak support times, like the beginning of a semester, this option may be limited. Consider a remote support appointment instead.
  • Remote Support Appointment: To sign up for a remote support appointment, please see our Tech Support Appointment Calendar, select the Remote Technical Assistance Calendar, and select a day/time. You will receive an email inviting you to the remote support session, along with a Zoom meeting link. When it's time for the appointment, click on the Zoom link in the email.
