Introduction
This page explains how to enable Google 2-step verification for a Google workspace account.
Google 2-Step Verification adds an additional layer of protection by requiring, as Google says, something you know (your password) AND something you have (your mobile phone) to access your account from a new device. Step 1: Ensure You're Logged in to Your Biola Email Account

1 | Open an Incognito, Private or InPrivate browser window. |
2 | Go to gmail.com. |
3 | Log in using your Biola email address and password. |
Step 2: Enable Google 2-Step Verification

1 | Go to Google's 2-Step Verification setup page and click GET STARTED. | |
2 | Enter your password and click Next. | |
3 | If asked to set up Google app prompt, click Show more options and select Text message or voice call. Note:

4 | Type your phone number in the phone number text box. | |
5 | Select Text message or Phone call. | |
6 | Click NEXT. | |
6 | Either open the text message or answer the phone call and retrieve the verification code. | |
7 | Enter the verification code in the text box and click NEXT. | |
8 | Click TURN ON. | |
