This page shows how to reclaim host rights of a Zoom meeting you own when another user or a Zoom Classroom is listed as the primary host.


How to Reclaim Host Rights in a Zoom Meeting

From a Computer


StepWhat to doWhat it looks like
1Join your course's Zoom Meeting* on your laptop/desktop computer.
2Click the Participants menu option.


3Click the More option at the bottom of the pop-up window.

4Click Reclaim Host.

5Hover your mouse over the Zoom Classroom name on the participant list and click the More option that appears.

6Click Make co-Host


From the Zoom Classroom Touch Panel

1Join your course's Zoom Meeting* on your laptop/desktop computer.
2Touch Manage Participants on the Zoom touch panel.

Touch your name on the participant list.


4Touch the Make Host option.
5Confirm that you would like to transfer host rights.
6Hover your mouse over the Zoom Classroom name on the participant list and click theĀ MoreĀ option that appears.

7Click Make co-Host

8Confirm that you would like to assign the classroom co-host rights.
