Introduction

This page lists two potential workarounds users can follow if they receive a "Cannot start app Vena Cloud" error when trying open Vena in Citrix Workspace.

Please let IT know at it.helpdesk@biola.edu or 562.903.4740 if either of these workarounds help you access Vena or not. This will help us identify and resolve the root cause of the issue.

Workaround 1: Open Vena from the Browser

StepWhat to do
1Go to citrix.biola.edu.
2Log in using your NetID & password.
3Click the user's name at the top-right of the window.
4Select Activate.
5Allow the file to save to the computer.
6Open the downloaded file and allow it to replace the Biola profile on the computer.

If these steps allow Vena to open, let IT know so that we can continue to work to resolve the root cause of this issue.

If these steps do not work, continue to the next workaround.


Workaround 2: Open Vena through All Applications Menu

StepWhat to do
1Open Citrix Workspace.
2Click the + icon toward the left-side of the window.
3Click All Applications.
4Click the application you wish to open.
5If these steps allow Vena to open, let IT know so that we can continue to work to resolve the root cause of this issue.
