Introduction
This page lists two potential workarounds users can follow if they receive a "Cannot start app Vena Cloud" error when trying open Vena in Citrix Workspace.
Please let IT know at it.helpdesk@biola.edu or 562.903.4740 if either of these workarounds help you access Vena or not. This will help us identify and resolve the root cause of the issue.

Workaround 1: Open Vena from the Browser
Step | What to do |
---|---|
1 | Go to citrix.biola.edu. |
2 | Log in using your NetID & password. |
3 | Click the user's name at the top-right of the window. |
4 | Select Activate. |
5 | Allow the file to save to the computer. |
6 | Open the downloaded file and allow it to replace the Biola profile on the computer. |
7 | If these steps allow Vena to open, let IT know so that we can continue to work to resolve the root cause of this issue. If these steps do not work, continue to the next workaround. |
Workaround 2: Open Vena through All Applications Menu
Step | What to do |

1 | Open Citrix Workspace. |
2 | Click the + icon toward the left-side of the window. |
3 | Click All Applications. |
4 | Click the application you wish to open. |
5 | If these steps allow Vena to open, let IT know so that we can continue to work to resolve the root cause of this issue. |
