Introduction

This page lists the steps needed to manually remove the files causing security pop-ups on your computer.

Delete the actual file(s) from your computer:

  1. Click Show in Finder.
  2. Click and drag the file into your computer's trash.

2Click the Apple logo on the top-left of your computer and select System Preferences.

3Click Security & Privacy.

4Click the Privacy tab.

5Unlock the Privacy tab by clicking the padlock and entering your NetID & password.

Locate the file(s) causing the pop-up in one of the following locations on the window:

  • Accessibility
  • Input Monitoring
  • Full Disk Access

Once you've found the file(s), click on it, and then click the minus button.
