1. Who owns recordings of class lectures?

In accordance with the Copyright Policy (the “Policy”) in Section 3.8 of the Employee Handbook, the ownership of Scholarly Works vests with the faculty member who created the work, unless one of the enumerated exceptions in the Policy applies.  The recordings of class lectures are considered Scholarly Works under the Policy.  As such, the ownership of such recordings vests with the faculty member, unless an exception under the Policy applies.
