This page lists two potential workarounds users can follow if they receive a "Cannot start app Vena Cloud" error when trying open Vena in Citrix Workspace.

Please let IT know at it.helpdesk@biola.edu or 562.903.4740 if either of these workarounds help you access Vena or not. This will help us identify and resolve the root cause of the issue.

Workaround 1: Open Vena from the Browser

1Go to citrix.biola.edu.

2Log in using your NetID & password.
3Click the user's name at the top-right of the window.

4Select Activate.
5Allow the file to save to the computer.

6If it doesn't open automatically, open the downloaded file.

Click Add or Agree when asked if you want to add/use Biola provided by Biola University.

Note: If asked if you want to replace the current Profile on your computer, click Yes.

Email or call IT to let us know these instructions helped you access Vena.

If these steps do not work, continue to the next workaround.

Workaround 2: Open Vena through All Applications Menu

3Click the + icon toward the left-side of the window.

4Click All Applications.
