Introduction
This page lists the steps to start a course Zoom Meeting. These instructions apply to Faculty who are using a Zoom Classroom or teaching remotely.
Important Notes:
- Five minutes before the scheduled start time of a course's Zoom Meeting, the Zoom touch panel in the classroom will give Faculty the option to press Start Meeting or to host the meeting from another device remotely.
- If a Faculty does not press Start on the Zoom Classroom touch panel, but hosts the meeting from an alternate device, the meeting will continue and the Zoom Classroom will not join the meeting.
- If, after 20 minutes of the Zoom Meeting's scheduled start time, a Faculty does not press Start on the Zoom Classroom touch panel or interact with the Zoom Classroom equipment in any way, the specific Zoom Meeting will be removed from the Zoom Classroom calendar for the day and open the room to be used for other meetings.
