Back-up Your Computer Using CrashPlan
If your CrashPlan account says, "Synchronizing" please wait up to 3 days to allow the CrashPlan server to take inventory of what files/folders need to be backed up on your computerStep | What to Do | What It Looks Like | |||

1 | Windows: Click on in the bottom left corner of the screen. | ||||

4 | Select CrashPlan (Mac) or Select Code42 CrashPlan (Windows) fromfrom the search results.

6 | Click Details. | 7 | Click on Run backup now to initiate a backup. Backups will happen automatically every 15 minutes after that. After your computer has finished backing up for the first time, you can quickly check if your computer is backing up on CrashPlan. |
7 | Depending on size of files and the speed of your connection, your CrashPlan back up may take a while to complete a "Synchronizing" process. Note: If your computer says, "Synchronizing," please leave your computer on overnight and connected to the internet (using a wired ethernet connection, if possible) if you are off-campus. If it does not complete and confirm a recent back up date after 3 days, please contact the IT Helpdesk for assistance. | |
