Cable Information
A cable snake runs from the circular Vaddio unit. The picture below tells you which cable is which.
VGA | Video connection for computers that use VGA. This allows you to share your computer screen to the TV, or to the audience on the other end of a web conference. Only use this if your computer doesn't have an HDMI port. |

HDMI | Video connection for computers that use HDMI. This allows you to share your computer screen to the TV, or to the audience on the other end of a web conference. Use HDMI when possible. It looks better on the screen. |
Ethernet | This is a wired connection to Biola's network. You don't need this if you're using wireless. |
USB | This connects your computer to the Vaddio's web camera for online meetings. |
What the buttons are called
Camera Modes and What They Do
The mode button cycles through the following options when pressed.
Normal | Sends the Vaddio camera signal to the user on the other end of the web conference. |
---|---|
Presentation | Sends the video from the presenter's computer screen, with the Vaddio camera signal displayed picture-in-picture (PIP) in the corner. |
Conference | Sends only the video from the presenter's computer screen. |
With both Presentation and Conference modes: If your computer is using an extended desktop (instead of mirroring), the user will see the content from the TV (secondary display).
Presentation Troubleshooting
Before using the Vaddio system, flip the base station over, and make sure all five cables are securely seated in their ports. Then flip it right-side up again.
