George H. Ekdahl
Mr. Ekdahl married Gladys Gibson (graduated from Biola in 1919), and was involved in ministry in Bolivia. In 1921, he wrote to The King's Business:
We have changed from San Pedro, Bolivia to Torotoro, Charcas, Bolivia, and expect to remain here for a good many years if the Lord shall tarry and spare our lives.
Though we are not medical missionaries we shall no doubt have a good bit of medical work to do of various kinds as there is no other medical help available, and we have had no training in that line. Some time ago Mr. McIntosh was called upon by the town officials to perform a postmortem operation on a woman, which he did though he did not fancy the work. Recently Kenneth Powlinson, B.I., '16, stationed at Toracari, had to administer general anaesthetic to a woman and remove a tumor from her head. He reports that she is doing nicely. The King's Business, Vol. 12.3, March 1921, pg 238
