Gerald Fisher

Dr. Gerald Fisher is an Associate Professor of Cinema and Media Arts at Biola University in La Mirada, California. He has over 20 years of experience in Mass Communication education as a faculty member, chair, production company owner, and manager of media technology infrastructure.

Dr. Fisher has taught a variety of Cinema and Media Arts (formally Mass Communication) classes over the years. He specializes in integrated media production classes, new technology and communication research.

In addition to teaching, he was the first manager of the Biola University Mass Communication Production Center. This facility includes over 800 items for field production from cameras to clamps, nine edit bays, computer lab, two sound stages, and a computer network for tapeless postproduction. He also consults with the campus radio station and the student TV news program.

Gerald and his wife, Ellie, live in Irvine, California and attend Grace EV Free Church. They have five children and expect to be grandparents for the first time in October of 2005.
