Haven was founded in fall 1992. Hart Hall had previously been an all girls dormitory.

Traditional Events

  • Deck the Haven is an all-floor Christmas party/festival of lights that occurs every year near the middle of December. Normally there are themed rooms, lots of desserts and drinks, and an armchair photo shoot with Santa Claus at the end of the hall. Attendance is usually over 500 people and special extended open hours are given for the event.
  • The Haven Kegger is like an ice cream social except with root beer floats. While not as large scale an event, the Kegger is still a fun event with high attendance and extended open hours.

Trivia:

  • H.E.L.L. (Hart Even Lower Level) changed to HAVEN in Fall of 2002. Ryan Low officially decided H.E.L.L. was going away and asked the leadership of the floor to pick a new name. This was really difficult but the men came up with HAVEN. Jesse Cone and Ty Damron, led a committee of men to come up with the new name.
