Experience in the Academic
Welter first began teaching at a college level during her time in Iceland for the Keflavik branch of the University of Maryland Europe. She was also trained and certified in UMUC's online program and taught classes for students throughout Europe.
When she and her family transitioned to Southern California, Welter continued teaching for UMUC and as an adjunct professor for Biola and Vanguard University. She joined the faculty of Biola University full-time in the fall of 2005.
The world of academics was a part of Welter's life from birth. "My parents worked for a Christian liberal arts university during my childhood and my life was very influenced by this environment. My heritage built a foundation for the decision I would later make to follow Jesus Christ myself," said Welter.
Welter received her bachelor's degree in communication from Evangel College and her master's degree in magazine journalism from Regent University.http://www.biola.edu/faculty/profiles/profile.cfm?n=tamara_welter
