Karl Hummel graduated in 1918. He married Guelph McQuinn who graduated from Biola one year after Karl.
The Hummels work in Nicaragua after graduating. In 1921, The King's Business writes:
Mr. and Mrs. Karl D. Hummel write an interesting letter from Managua, Cicaragua, C.A. God has richly blessed them in the work and they ask prayer that they may have strength and grace to accomplish much. There are many places in Nicaragua where no Gospel work has been done and they are anxious to reach these points with the Gospel message.The Kings Business, Vol. 12.2, February 1921, pg 132
In 1927, the first yearbook gives this update:
1927 finds us still in the U. S. A. in the home office of the Central American Mission. We are happy to testify that the Lord is more precious to us as the days go by, and we are glad to be in His service.1927 Biolan, pg 52
