John Browning

John Browning joined the Biola Conservatory of Music faculty in 1998 as the Head of Music Theory and Composition. He remained in this position until 2006. He taught classes such as: Music Appreciation, Theory, Counterpoint, Form and Analysis, and Improvisation. Dr. Browning is also a composer and has composed several pieces which have been played by ensembles at Biola. He also contributed to several music coursebooks, including a collaborative work on Improvisational Concepts with Barry Liesch, called Improvising with Impact: A Practical Guide for Worship Musicians, Vols I & II.
