Dr. Michael Gonzales
Dr. Michael Gonzales is a film professor at Biola University in La Mirada, California. Michael started his film career as an art director and later earned a graduate degree emphasizing in Screenwriting from USC. He taught at USC as a production professor for 10 years until 2000. Dr. Michael Gonzales also has a Master’s degree from Loyola Marymount University as well as an earned doctorate in Intercultural Education from Biola’s School of Intercultural Studies.
Dr. Michael Gonzales is also a musician and keyboard artist on the Cool Sounds Japanese label. He is a regular contributor to Worship Musician magazine.Mr. Gonzales’ first script was “BLACK EAGLE” starring Jean-Claude Van Damme. He has sold three scripts and optioned two. He is currently directing TV commercials. “BRAVURA” was the first dramatic film he’s directed and was awarded Best Director Short Subject Category at the Sabaoth International Film Festival in Milan, Italy. Bravura was also received a prized nomination for best theatrical short or student film at the 20th Annual Imagen Awards held in Beverly Hills, CA
