Doug Jackson
Doug Jackson is part of the Biola Conservatory faculty as an instructor of electric guitar. Jackson studied with guitar legend Ted Greene. He won five Outstanding Musicianship awards from the National Association of Jazz Educators and one from the American Honor Arts Association before attending the Berklee College of Music in Boston.
Mr. Jackson has appeared on Integrity, Word and A&M recordings. He has performed with Kenny Loggins, Ambrosia, Bryan Duncan, Billy Preston, Edgar Winter, Marie Osmond, Dave Mason, Al Stewart, Gary Wright, Dweezil Zappa, Stephen Bishop, Nancy Sinatra and Iron Butterfly to name a few.
Doug has also worked with studio and jazz greats such as Abraham Laboriel, Jeff Porcaro, Neal Stubenhaus, Lenny Castro, Dean Parks, Max Bennett, Barbara Morrison, Peter White, Jimmy Earl, Marcus Miller, Jimmy Haslip, Alex Acuna, Vinnie Colaiuta and Ricki Lawson.
His television and commercial credits include "The Wayne Brady Show," "Late Nite," "Showtime," "Baywatch," Coca-Cola, Oldsmobile, Pearl Vision, GT Bikes and Toyo Tires.
His debut album, "Storm Chaser," has received rave reviews, including from Guitar Magazine, "Jackson is a rock-fusion maestro... "Storm Chaser," is a guitar feast...dazzling acoustic playing."
