Birdie Barbara Gilgert

After graduating from the Bible Institute in 1920, Birdie Gilgert went to share the love of God on an Indian Reservation in Arizona. In her own words one year after graduation:
"The position I hold is community Worker, or Bible Worker. Am under the Woman's Board of the Presbyterian Chruch,d the only Protestant Denomination working on the reservation. There are about six thousand Papugoes on this reservation. Am enjoying the work and love the people. I forget they are Indians and that I am a white person for they are people, just folks."The King's Business, Vol. 12.4, April 1921, Pg 333
