Namesake

After the death in 2001 of her husband, Wendell Moats, Virginia Moats donated funds from stock she had forgotten about.

In 1973 she was advised to purchase 200 shares of stock in a new company with an unknown product called “WD-40”. When she rediscovered the stock, left in a safe deposit box for decades, it had grow to 17,800 shared.

To honor her husband's successful business career, she donated the funds during the business building fundraising campaign. <ref> Biola Web site http://100.biola.edu/index.cfm?pageid=74 </ref>
