Pharos software bug affecting macOS Catalina

Pharos software bug affecting macOS Catalina

Introduction

IT has identified a bug that prevents people from printing via Pharos on their personally owned computers after they upgrade to the latest Mac operating system (macOS Catalina 10.15). Biola students and adjunct faculty are the groups most affected.

Biola owned computers are unaffected.

Solution

The solution is to uninstall and reinstall the Pharos printing software on affected computers. We are working with the Pharos company to find a scalable solution.

As always, the IT Helpdesk in Tech Commons on middle-level of the Library are ready to help with Pharos printing problems.
