Ronald Pierce

Dr. Ronald Pierce is a Professor of Biblical and Theological Studies. He is a recipient of the Teaching Excellence Award, the Dean's Incentive Award, and the President's Award, specializes in Old Testament studies, Israel in the Middle East, and the theology of gender. He has written articles for International Standard Bible Encyclopedia, Journal of the Evangelical Theological Society, Bulletin of Biblical Research, and Trinity Journal. From 1987-2001 he and his wife Pat directed the Biola Israel program, an intensive interterm undergraduate study tour of the Holy Land. Dr. Pierce also developed the computer software program, Old Testament Interactive, to teach the history, geography, and biblical literature relating to the ancient and modern land and people of Israel. His latest publication is Discovering Biblical Equality: Complementarity without Hierarchy, a compilation of 26 evangelical, egalitarian contributors to the gender debate.
