Robert Saucy

Robert L. Saucy is a Distinguished Professor of Systematic Theology at Talbot School of Theology.

Personal Background

Saucy was raised in a Christian home in Salem, Oregon and converted to Christ at an early age. He served in active duty in the military from 1948-1949, then in the reserves from 1949-1954. He is married to Nancy Saucy and has three children. He is an ordained minister with the North American Baptist General Conference and a past president of the Evangelical Theological Society (1972). He has written, edited and contributed to numerous books, including one arguing for complementarianism among women and men in ministry and others about the doctrine of scripture.
