Biola's VoIP phone system adds a computer-based phone application called Cisco Jabber to be used instead of – or in addition to – the physical phone handset on your desk. Collaborate more securely and effectively from anywhere in a tool that brings together presence (work status), instant messaging, audio, video and web conferencing, enterprise voice, and visual voicemail into one client on your desktop.

How to Request the Service

Faculty/Staff Jabber Install: They should install Jabber using Biola Self Service.

If you are off campus and do not have access to Biola's VPN or Self Service tools, you can download the Cisco Jabber app on the Cisco Jabber download page.

Student Employees: Their supervisor should contact the IT Helpdesk.

Requirements for the Service
  • An active NetID and password
  • The Staff or Faculty affiliation
  • A computer or Android/iOS Smartphone
  • A wired or wireless network connection
