Accessing Reports in Cognos 11 (IBM Cognos Analytics)

Introduction

Cognos 11, known as IBM Cognos Analytics, is a web-based application for generating and running reports of Biola data.

This page explains how to access reports of Cognos 11.

NOTE: Off-Campus users will need to use VPN to access the Cognos server.

Cognos 10 Upgrade

If you've been using Cognos 10, you will need to clear your browser cache before trying to access Cognos 11 for the first time.

Open any browser and navigate to:

Enter your NetID and password, then click Sign In.

1	Maximize your browser to see labels next to the icons.
2	Click the link on the left called Team Content. (Team Content has replaced "Public Folders" from Cognos10).
3	Scroll until you find the folder or report you are looking for.
4	If you are looking for a budget manager report or academic department report, continue on to the next section.

Complete all the previous steps. On the fly-out menu, click on the Department Share folder.

Budget Reports users: Click on Shared Reports – Finance

Academic Department Report users: Click on Shared Reports – Registrar

2	Your tabs from Cognos10 will appear on a fly-out menu as report links in Cognos11. Click on the links to view your previously tabbed content.
