Conference Now Host User Guide
Use the Biola University Conference Now Service to host a conference call with on and off-premise guests.
Call the Conference Now number and enter the meeting number
- Dial the Biola Conference Now extension (x4799) from your desk phone or Jabber, or 562-903-4799 if dialing from your cellular phone or outside Biola campus.
- You will hear the greeting and prompt, “Welcome! To join a Conference Now, please enter a meeting number followed by pound (#).”
- Enter your Biola phone extension number as the Meeting Number, followed by the pound (#) sign
Enter your Host PIN
- You will hear the prompt, “If you are the meeting host, please enter your PIN. Otherwise, press pound (#) to continue.”
- Enter your Host PIN. You are now in the conference meeting. You will hear silence and there is also no audio confirming that you are in the meeting. You will hear a tone every time a participant joins your meeting.
- If you forgot or don’t know your Host PIN, please login to Biola Phone Self-Care Portal using your NetID, and reset your Host PIN in the Change PIN feature. Please note that this will reset both your phone PIN and voicemail PIN to the PIN that you just changed it to.
- Do not share your Host PIN with anyone else.
Hang up to leave the Conference.
- The participants will remain in the conference meeting even after you, the host, hang up.
IMPORTANT:
As the host, you will need to provide your participants with the conference call Meeting Number (your Biola phone extension) and the Attendee Access Code. Please contact Biola IT Helpdesk at it.helpdesk@biola.edu, extension 4740, or 562-903-4740 if you don’t have this information.
