Call using a Cisco conference phone and a DAC

Using Dialing Authorization Codes (DAC) with conference phones

Dialing Authorization Codes (formerly known as PAS Numbers) exist to make billable phone charges appear on the appropriate Fund and Org of the department that placed the calls. DAC code numbers are identical to PAS numbers, however you no longer need to enter "16" before entering a DAC code.

If you do not know your department's Dialing Authorization Code, please contact the IT Coordinator at ext. 5011 or the IT Admin at ext. 5005.

Placing Calls using DAC with Cisco VoIP conference phones

1. Place the call normally by dialing "9", the area (or country) code, and phone number.
   
2. Wait for tone, or wait for visual prompt on conference phone screen.
3. Enter Dialing Authorization Code and press #.  
4. Wait for call to be placed.

Conference in additional participants on a Cisco VoIP conference phone

1. Place the call normally by dialing "9" +  area (or country) code +  phone number.     
2. Wait for tone, or wait for visual prompt on conference phone screen.
3. Enter Dialing Authorization Code and press #.
   
4. Wait for receiving party to answer.
5. Press the More softkey twice.
6. Press the Conf softkey.
   
7. Place the next call by dialing "9" +  area (or country) code +  phone number.  
8. Wait for tone, or wait for visual prompt on conference phone screen. 
9. Enter Dialing Authorization Code and press #.
10. Wait for receiving party to answer  
11. Press the Conf softkey again to merge the calls.
    
12. Go back to step 5 to add more participants.

Join additional incoming call participants on a Cisco 7937G VoIP conference phone

1. Answer the incoming call.   
   
2. Press the More softkey twice.
3. Select the Join softkey.
4. Select callers from the list with the up and down keys and select Join for each caller to add to the conference call.
   
5. Go back to step 1 to add more incoming calls to the conference call with a maximum of 16 participants.
