Show Blu-ray playback status in a Crestron classroom

Introduction

The Blu-ray/DVD players in some of Biola's classrooms don't have a built-in digital display to show disc navigation information such as titles numbers, chapter numbers, and playback time.

This page explains how to make this information appear on the projector screen.

This applies to classrooms that use a Crestron touchpanel to control the audio/video equipment.

How to Show Blu-ray Playback Status

Once your DVD or Blu-ray disc is playing, follow the steps below to view playback status.

StepWhat to DoHow It Looks (Click to enlarge)
1Tap the MENU button.
ResultThe Blu-ray menu will appear on the projector screen.
2Tap the right arrow button once.
3Tap the down arrow button repeatedly until Status is selected.
ResultStatus will be highlighted with yellow.
6Tap the OK button.
ResultYou will see the status bar displayed on the projector screen.
7Tap the TOP MENU button to close the status bar.
