How to ask for a change
- How to ask for a new application:
Submit the Software Request form here: (https://biola.formstack.com/forms/computer_software_request?sso=6192a726a3297&sso=63cf22cfd0971) [Do we still use this for lab software requests?] - How to ask for a configuration change:
Email the IT Helpdesk at it.helpdesk@biola.edu with your requested change.
Administrative rights
All users are standard users and not administrators, which means that programs cannot be installed or run as administrator, and some settings cannot be modified.
If you need administrator access to do something, refer to the “How to ask for a change” section and let IT know. In many cases we will be able to make a change that removes the need for administrator rights.
What you can do with current access
- Install R packages
- Run WampServer as administrator
- Run through setup for Android Studio
- Launch Debian Linux VM
